This event will take place on Friday, December 18, 2020 on Teams. However if the conditions are favorable, this congress will also take place at the University of Pharmacy of Tours in the A40 and A 50 amphitheater.

 

The objective of this congress is to bring together a scientific community in order to share the latest research on therapeutic strategies against pathogen-related autoimmune diseases. Nationally renowned speakers are invited to present their work. This congress aims to encourage collaborations between local and national research laboratories as well as to bring together students and actors from the world of research with a view to their professional integration. In this perspective of promoting exchange between speakers, guests and students, the congress will take place in its entirety in English.

The theme of the congress will be the virus as an indicator of autoimmune diseases. In the first part, the speakers will develop the link between a pathogen and its implication in the appearance of autoimmune diseases. 4 autoimmune pathologies with high prevalence will be discussed, namely Crohn's disease, type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis and finally rheumatoid arthritis. Once the infectiology aspect has been addressed, we will move on in the second part to that of immunotherapy. The speakers will present to us the various treatments developed, in particular therapeutic antibodies and their targets, in order to fight against these autoimmune diseases.
